PROTECT PAGOSA WITH THE FRIENDS OF THE WILD.

Keep Pagosa Wild Campaign

100% Volunteer Stewardship.

As a 100% volunteer-led organization, the Keep Pagosa Wild Campaign provides the essential resources that allow us to reach donors, build a strong online and in-person presence, and operate in good standing. These funds fuel our energy — helping us connect with the community, share our mission widely, and create the materials and outreach needed to inspire real stewardship. They strengthen our grant writing and program development efforts, allowing us to expand and formalize the conservation projects that protect the land and wildlife we love. We are truly thrilled to Keep Pagosa Wild, and this campaign gives us the momentum and stability to make that happen, year after year.

Pagosa Tree Farmers Campaign

Planting Seeds. Protecting Trees.

The Pagosa Tree Farmers Campaign is our most playful and creative effort — bringing local folklore to life through Tillard, the Pagosa Tree Farmer, and his spirited wife Rosa (short for Ponderosa!). Together, their stories, songs, and adventures make stewardship fun for families, kids, and anyone who loves the magic of this valley.

Through their world, we inspire imagination, pride, and community spirit — reminding everyone that protecting the land can be joyful, whimsical, and deeply rooted in who we are.

And best of all, every Pagosa Tree Farmer product directly supports our Restricted Land Acquisition Fund, helping secure land for the future urban migration buffer corridor and the Nature Park that will welcome generations to come.

The Pagosa Tree Farmers Campaign brings conservation to life — one smile, one story, and one seed at a time.

Forever Forests Endowment Fund

A Gift That Grows.

The Forever Forests Endowment Fund is where legacy takes root. It is the part of our conservatorship that looks past the horizon, ensuring that the forests we love, the wildlife we protect, and the open spaces we cherish remain untouched by time. This fund grows steadily and intentionally, creating a permanent wellspring that strengthens our programs, empowers stewardship, and safeguards Pagosa’s wild places for generations yet to come.

At its core, the Endowment works through long-term protection and careful financial stewardship. Contributions to this fund are invested, not spent, allowing the principal to grow year after year. Only the earnings are used to support conservation programs, stewardship initiatives, and the organizational stability needed to defend Pagosa’s wild character. In this way, each gift becomes part of a living legacy — a resource that endures, expands, and protects far into the future.

Like a star that guides travelers, the Forever Forests Endowment is our steady light — a reminder that protecting this land is not only our responsibility, but our gift to the generations who will walk these forests, watch these skies, and hear these winds long after we are gone.
